JAKARTA Perum PPD has officially joined Perum Damri. With this merger, Perum Damri officially became the only State-Owned Road-Based Public Company.

The merger of the two SOEs was carried out through the signing of Government Regulation Number 30 of 2023 dated June 6, 2023 concerning the Merger of Perum PPD into Perum Damri by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

The merger plan was initiated by SOE Minister Erick Thohir to strengthen the company's performance so as to strengthen its reach and expand the network in increasing national transportation connectivity.

"Perum DAMRI is expected to cooperate and increase multimodal integration with other transportation companies, so that they can become feed system accelerators on other modes of transportation such as buses, trains, high-speed trains, MRT, LRT, and even aircraft," he said.

In addition, continued Tiko, as a national flag carrier in the road-based general transportation industry, Perum Damri is also expected to be able to encourage equal distribution of people's economic growth through quality services that can create multiplier effects throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the President Director of Perum DAMRI Setia N. Milatia Moemin conveyed that by joining Perum PPD into Perum DAMRI, the Government's great goal to be able to improve national connectivity can be realized, especially to support national economic growth and equity.
