PPKM Yogyakarta Down to Level 2, This is Sultan HB X's Message to the Community

YOGYAKARTA - The Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, asked the public to maintain the application of health protocols (prokes) even though the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) dropped from level 3 to level 2.

"Keep maintaining the health protocols because the conditions are still volatile", said Sultan HB X at the Kepatihan Complex, Yogyakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 19.

He reminded the public to refrain from traveling. If it's not an urgent need then you should stay at home.

"If you don't need it (urgent needs), don't go", said the King of the Yogyakarta Palace.

The Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 53 of 2021 concerning PPKM Level 3, Level 2, Level 1 COVID-19 in Java-Bali, states that PPKM status in DIY is now at level 2.

The Ministerial Instruction which regulates PPKM Level 2 in DIY is effective from 19 October to 1 November 2021.

This policy applies to all areas of DIY, starting from Bantul Regency, Gunungkidul Regency, Kulon Progo Regency, Sleman Regency, and Yogyakarta City.

As a follow-up, the Sultan has issued the Governor's Instruction of DIY Number 31/INSTR/2021 concerning PPKM Level 2 Corona Virus Disease in DIY which was signed on Tuesday, 19 October.

With the reduced level, children under 12 years old can enter malls, shopping centers, and entertainment.

In addition, educational units that carry out face-to-face learning are limited to a maximum capacity of 50 percent by maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 meters.

The 50 percent capacity limitation is excluded for Extraordinary Elementary School (SLB), Extraordinary Junior High School (SMPLB), and Extraordinary High School (SMLB) a maximum of 62 percent to 100 percent by maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 meters.

For PAUD, the maximum capacity is 33 percent by maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 meters.

Meanwhile, for the implementation of non-essential sector activities, 25 percent WFO (work from the office) is applied for employees who have been vaccinated and are required to use the PeduliLindungi application at the entrance and exit of the workplace.
