The Discovery Of The Body Of A Baby Girl Makes Mojokerto Residents Commotion

The discovery of a female baby corpse in the Marmoyo River shocked the residents of Mojojajar Village, Kemlagi District, Mojokerto Regency. Baby body was first discovered by a resident who was looking for leaves near the river. It is suspected that this baby's body had just been born because the umbilical cord was still attached and thrown away by his parents. The head of the Kemlagi Police, AKP Sugeng Budi Santoso, said it was suspected that the baby had died for two to three days. This is known, because the condition of the body has blackened and emitted a foul odor. "There was a report on the discovery of the baby's body, it was found that residents were about to look for leaves near the river. When viewed from his physical appearance, his death was more than two days," said Sugeng, Sunday, April 7. He added that his party was still conducting an investigation to find parents or perpetrators who had the heart to throw innocent babies into the Marmoo River.

"We will check in our area, especially those crossing the Marmoyo river, whether any residents have been reported missing or died. We will also check with the village midwife," he said. Furthermore, the baby girl's body was evacuated to Dr Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Hospital, Mojokerto City for the autopsy process.
