Eri Cahyadi Has Gathered The Proposal For Candidates For Gamis One Bachelor Of Assistance

Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi stated that he had collected all proposals for the recipients of the One Poor Family (Gamis) assistance program from each RT/RW.

"The data collection has been completed, we will check it later. We will see and agree with the RT/RW," said Eri at Surabaya City Hall as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 25.

He said that the proposed entry was currently being verified by data, then grouped into several desils to be taken 200 prospective recipients.

Through this mechanism, the Surabaya City Government (Pemkot) will determine poor families who are entitled to enter the One Gamis Satu Bachelor Program.

The Surabaya City Government takes families with the lowest economic level to be given a touch of education assistance.

"Judging from the condition of the house, he has a vehicle, for example a motorcycle or not. This condition affects the assessment," said Eri.

In addition, data collection also includes the amount of monthly expenses each robe.

"How much electricity is one month, if you have found it, it will continue to be calculated," he said.

Eri said that each family will later be asked to choose one child whose education costs are fully borne by the Surabaya City Government.

"It's up to the family if that's the case. So if the child chooses from elementary school, then from elementary school it is financed to undergraduate. But from yesterday's data, most of the children were from high school," he said.

Then, 200 recipients of educational assistance are placed in the same dormitory.

"The place is ready from the room to the place to eat," he said.

Eri said the priority for education given to One Gamis Satu Sarjau participants was vocational.

"We want them after graduation to immediately work, not even graduate but become job seekers," he said.

The One Gamis Satu Sarjau Program is ready to be launched in May 2024. The program is expected to reduce poverty in the local city.

"Hopefully it can be the way for children to change their fate for the better," said Eri Cahyadi.
