Because Of Football, Two Groups Of Residents In Jatinegara Attack Each Other Using Sajam And Firecrackers

JAKARTA - Two groups of teenagers were involved in attacking each other using sharp weapons in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta. The cause of this brawl was triggered by mocking each other during the football match.

The perpetrators were equipped with firecrackers and large sharp weapons. The brawl was caught on amateur video by local residents.

"Actually, the incident started when the children played football, then they went to adults. They made fun of each other. He went home to tell the elders, inviting more," said Hasto, a local community leader to reporters, Wednesday, March 13.

Based on the video footage, two groups of teenagers were seen attacking each other on Jalan Cipinang Pulo Maja, North Cipinang Besar Village, Jatinegara.

The perpetrators attacked each other by throwing stones and were equipped with large sharp weapons.

"There was a commotion between residents of RW 10, 11 and RW 13. Some were carrying sharp weapons," he said.

In addition to using sharp weapons, the perpetrators also shot firecrackers at the opponent.

"There are firecrackers, they are expensive, where are the firecrackers coming from," he said.

This brawl made residents around the location panic and worry. Meanwhile, this brawl was handled by the East Jakarta Metro Police.
