BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency Government, West Java, has waived the cost of retribution and re-agency measuring, takar, weighting, and equipment services starting January 2024 or since the implementation of regional regulations related to levies.
Head of the Legal Metrology UPTD at the Bekasi Regency Trade Office, Surahman, said that the policy of waiver of tera fees follows up on Law number 1 of 2022 concerning financial relations between the central and regional governments.
"There is no tera retribution fee starting this year following up on central government regulations which are then made derivative regulations through the Bekasi Regency Regulation regarding regional levies," he said in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, as reported by Antara, Monday, February 26.
He said this retribution fee exemption policy did not disrupt tera services. His party continues to serve the owners of Ukur, Takar, Timbang, and Equipment (UTTP) tools wholeheartedly, such as when the retribution is still in effect.
"If you look at regional income in the retribution and re-trial sector, last year it reached Rp2.4 billion. This year it has been abolished, directed by the central government, but this policy will not change or interfere with services," he said.
