Gibran Comes To Work Today, Returns To Duty As Mayor Of Solo

Gibran Rakabuming Raka returned to serve as Mayor of Surakarta after being with his partner, Prabowo Subianto, winning while the results of quick calculations in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres).

"Yes, now we only focus on work as mayors," said Gibran at the Surakarta City Hall, Central Java, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 16.

Gibran said that currently he is still focused on carrying out his duties as Mayor of Surakarta, including continuing a number of infrastructure work in Solo.

"Yes, continue. Yesterday I went to Jongke Market, Balekambang, this is about to prepare for the third phase of Solo Safari," he said.

Before arriving at the office, Gibran had time to go around to see the work on the Surakarta Palace Square arrangement project.

"Earlier, I went to the square and elsewhere. This morning I checked that the square was quite good," he said.

Alluding to the continuation of the Sriwedari structuring project which had been marked by a dispute between the Surakarta City Government and the heirs of the land owner, Gibran emphasized that the problem was resolved.

"The legal problem has been resolved. Yesterday, Mr. Kajari, who had a prescon (press conference, ed.) himself, his status. Now we are waiting for Vastenburg, hopefully everything will run smoothly," he said.

The 2024 election includes the Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections of the Republic of Indonesia, the Election for Members of the DPRD RI, the election for members of the provincial DPRD, and the election for district/city DPRD members with a final voter list (DPT) at the national level as many as 204,807,222 voters.

Election participants in 2024 as many as 18 national political parties, namely (according to serial numbers) of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Gerindra Party, PDI Perjuangan, Golkar Party, NasDem Party, Labor Party, and the Indonesian Gelora Party.

Next, Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS), Partai Kebangkitan Nusantara (PKN), Partai Hanura, Partai Garuda, Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN), Partai Bulan Bintang (PBB), Partai Demokrat, Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI), Partai Perindo, Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP), and Partai Ummat.

In addition, the election for legislative members (pileg) was also attended by six local political parties, namely the Aceh Nanggroe Party, the Atjeh Beusaboh Tha'at and Taqwa Generation Party, the Aceh Darul Party, the Aceh Party, the Aceh Prosperous Justice Party, and the Aceh People's Independent Solidity Party.

Participants in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres), namely the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. serial number 3.

According to KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election is scheduled from February 15 to March 20, 2024.
