Prabowo Volunteer Reported To Bawaslu After Talking About Changes In Peace Time, Here's Anies' Response

Presidential candidate (candidate) number 1, Anies Baswedan responded that he was reported to the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) by Prabowo-Gibran volunteers, namely Rampai Nusantara.

Anies was reported by Rampai Nusantara as a result of talking about changes when he visited the residences of the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla (JK) during a calm period of the 2024 General Election. Anies is considered to be campaigning in a quiet period.

"Yes, just report Bawaslu, we respect it. It's up to Bawaslu what the process will be," said Anies at his residence, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Tuesday, February 13.

Moreover, Anies felt that he did not campaign when throwing a narrative of changes for three days before the day of the vote.

"So, we can't change, right?" asked Anies.

According to him, Bawaslu will respond to the report fairly and use common sense. "I think Bawaslu will use it to be healthy, anyone can report it. But of course back to Bawaslu, Bawaslu will definitely process reports that are accepted with common sense," he continued.

Previously, Ramampai Nusantara reported Anies to Bawaslu because he considered Anies campaigning in a calm period. This is because Anies expressed the narrative of changes to the idea of the 2024 presidential election campaign.

"We suspect that there is indeed a violation of laws and regulations against Anies Baswedan's statements, one of which is related to still saying that the people want changes," said Chairman of Rampai Nusantara Mardiansyah Semar at the Bawaslu office, Central Jakarta.

Mardiansyah also highlighted that Anies' statement regarding the election score had been regulated. According to him, this violates three regulations. First, articles 276 paragraphs 1 and 2 and articles 492 of Law number 7 of 2017. Second, article 237 of KPU Regulation number 15 of 2023.

"Well, this is strongly suspected of violating Article 267 paragraph 5 of Law 7/2017 and also Article 54 paragraph 4 of PKPU 15/2023. This is what we will report to Bawaslu because it is strongly suspected of violating the articles that I conveyed earlier," said Mardiansyah.
