Will Voice Traders' Complaints In The Presidential Candidate Debate Tomorrow Sunday, Ganjar: Can't Just Bring Concepts

PALEMBANG - Presidential Candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo said he would bring complaints from traders in the Presidential Candidate Debate tomorrow Sunday, February 4.

Ganjar admitted that on that occasion he would explain the problems in the field, including Pasar Palimo and Pasar 16 Ilir, Palembang City, South Sumatra (Sumsel), which he visited today, Friday, February 2.

"Oh, for sure. Definitely (it becomes the material for the presidential candidate debate, ed). When we argue, we can't just talk about concepts without seeing the facts on the ground," said Ganjar after absorbing complaints related to the price of basic commodities during blusukan at Pasar 16 Ilir, Palembang, South Sumatra.

One of the complaints that Ganjar will bring is the high price of corn which makes laying chicken farmers scream. This is because the products purchased are high in price but have low quality.

Not only that, Ganjar also mentioned that the high price of chicken feed makes the selling price of eggs not comparable. However, farmers have no other choice considering that the corn harvest program failed and there was a ban on imports.

"Even though the price in the market is from eggs, it turns out that it can increase. What does that mean? Lose to traders, lose to farmers. Now, we must defend this, there are quite a lot of breeders," he said.

In the debate later, Ganjar will also talk about interventions that should be carried out by the government. One of them, by buying large amounts of eggs to be distributed to pregnant women or people with malnutrition.

"Well, this is a conception of the facts that are confirmed in the field for us to fix. So we often get input from the community, there are examples, that's data and facts," said the former Governor of Central Java.

Next, Ganjar will also highlight health problems not only to improve his abilities but also to shape character. We are talking not only skills, we are not only talking about scoring handymen. But producing children with character, noble character, including for women's groups and disabilities," he said.

For information, the Indonesian KPU will hold the fifth debate for the 2024 presidential election on Sunday, February 4. This is the last debate a presidential candidate will participate in.

The debate will raise the theme of social welfare, culture, education, information technology, health, employment, human resources (HR), and inclusion.
