Gus Ipul Calls PWNU Disappointed About Gus Nadir Revealing PBNU's Direction To Support Paslon

Secretary General of PBNU Saifullah Yusuf revealed that the Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Regional Management was disappointed with Nadirsyah Hosein's statement that there was a directive from Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Achyar to support certain pairs of candidates in the 2024 presidential election. Gus Ipul said the disappointment was related to the accusation of Nadirsyah alias Gus Nadir who said Miftachul Achyar directed the NU management to support one of the pairs of candidates participating in the 2024 presidential election through the words sam'an wa tha'atan (hear and obey) at a meeting. "Rais Aam (Miftachul Achyar) never had this statement at all. PWNU asked for evidence of who the participants said to Gus Nadir," said Gus Ipul in a written statement, Wednesday, January 31, which was confiscated by Antara. Therefore, the Mayor of Pasuruan also regretted Gus Nadir's statement because he was considered to have spread false news or hoaxes. Moreover, he continued, Gus Nadir had never been tabayun or clarified directly with the people present at the meeting. Previously, during an interview with a media session, Gus Nadir openly twisted the sentence sam'an wa tha'atan which he referred to Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Achyar. According to the former Rais Syuriyah PCI NU Australia-New Zealand, the directive was delivered at a meeting in Surabaya, East Java, some time ago. "Please, just this once, sam'an wa tha'atan," according to Nadir, who he admits is the words of Rais Aam PBNU.

Regarding the growing signal in the community due to the accusations, Miftachul Akhyar reminded all Nahdliyin residents to take tabayun by examining all existing problems. Tabayun became a mandate borne by all mankind, especially Nahdliyin and the NU management as a whole. "When PBNU does something, (then) come and ask. (Don't) have not come to announce it," he said at the opening of the 2024 NU Grand Conference at the Al Munawwir Islamic Boarding School, Krapyak, Yogyakarta. According to Miftachul Akhyar, tabayun is a weapon to conquer existing "enemys"; so if they are not done, then they will lose before war. "Sami'na wa atha'na. That's where Allah gives a gift is the behavior of the ulama first. In fact, the prophets also said sami'na wa atha'na (we heard and we obeyed)," he said.
