Heartache Charged With Debt Of IDR 80 Million Is The Motive For The Murder Of Mobile Phone Sellers In Aceh

Banda Aceh Police said the motive for the murder of a cell phone seller in Aceh Besar was by his co-workers due to debt problems of Rp. 80 million.

"Because he was hurt and asked to pay a debt of Rp. 80 million. Next month the victim will hold a wedding so he asks for his debt to be paid," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banda Aceh Police, Kompol Fadillah Aditya Pratamadiansir ANTARA, Tuesday, January 30.

A cell phone seller named Fajarullah (25) was found dead in the Gampong Gla Meunasah Baro area, Krueng Barona Jaya, Aceh Besar, Monday (29/1) in the morning and is suspected of being a murder victim.

A few hours after the discovery of the victim's body, the Banda Aceh Police Rimueng Team arrested an alleged murder suspect with the initials MRV (20) from Banda Aceh City, who is a colleague of the victim.

Fadillah explained that the arrest of the perpetrator was based on the statements of several witnesses. The perpetrator tricked the officers by giving false information, but after being investigated, finally the person concerned claimed to have killed his co-worker.

"The perpetrator admitted to carrying a sharp knife weapon that had been thrown away in Batoh (the area away from the crime scene). After we got evidence of sharp weapons, we also got the car that was taken," he said.

Fadillah said the perpetrators and victims worked together in opening a mobile phone sales store business, and had an agreement on the distribution of results.

However, in two years, the perpetrator felt that there was no conformity in the distribution received. Then the perpetrator often takes money secretly at the kiosk with an uncertain amount of around Rp. 80 million.

The victim, continued Fadillah, initially silenced the perpetrators from taking business money, even though they already knew about it. However, when the figure was quite large, the victim began to collect the money from the perpetrators and gave a deadline for repayment until January 30, 2024.

"A few days he was annoyed because he was given the time of the 30th (January), worried that he could not pay for being fired. The suspect also felt hurt because when the perpetrator asked for his rights, the victim replied what to do with my regulations," said Fadillah.

In this case, the suspect was charged with Article 340 in conjunction with 338 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder with the threat of death penalty or life imprisonment or a maximum of 20 years in prison.
