Polda Metro Jaya stated that the confiscation syndicate involving three TNI soldiers has been in illicit business for the last two years. The profit reaches IDR 4 billion per year.

This was revealed based on the results of the examination of two suspects with the initials M and EI with the status of civilians.

"For the record, the suspect has carried out these activities from early February 2022 to 2024," said Director of General Criminal Investigation Podla Metro Jaya Kombes Wira Satya Triputra to reporters, Wednesday, January 10.

The two suspects got the stolen vehicle by buying it. There are also those from rogue debtors, they sell unpaid credit vehicles.

"The suspect bought rather than the perpetrators of theft, embezzlement, or fiduciary perpetrators at the average price of vehicles for 2 wheels for Rp. 8 to Rp. 10 million," he said.

"The four wheels are accommodated by them at a price of around Rp. 60 million to Rp. 120 million depending on the vehicle brand," continued Wira.

Then, the suspect resold the vehicle to Timor Leste. Of course at a high price.

For example, for motorcycles, the suspects sold Rp. 15 to Rp. 20 million. Meanwhile, the car was Rp. 100 to Rp. 200 million.

They can even send the stolen vehicle every one to two months.

"From these results, the suspects are estimated to earn around Rp. 400 million every month. From the results of these activities, based on the results of preliminary research, we are trying to calculate the amount of profit from the perpetrators per year, it can reach Rp. 3 to Rp. 4 billion," said Wira.

Meanwhile, Polda Metro Jaya and Puspomad V Brawijaya found 260 two- and four-wheeled vehicles hidden by the confiscation syndicate at the Gudbalkir Pusziad Building, Sidoarjo. The details are 46 cars and 214 motorbikes

In this case, there are three TNI AD soldiers who are suspected of being involved. They are Major BP, Kopda AS, and Praka J who have now been secured by Puspomad.
