2,148 Greater Jakarta PLN Officers Alerted For Christmas And New Year

PLN Jakarta Raya officers made a readiness meeting ahead of Christmas and New Year, Tuesday 19 December

Welcoming Christmas Day 2023 and New Year 2024, PLN Main Distribution Unit (UID) Jakarta Raya held an electricity alert meeting at the Indonesian Evangelical Reformed Church (GRII) Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Tuesday 19 December.

Apples are carried out in order to ensure the readiness of Nataru's personnel and electrical preparedness equipment, which from 18 December 2023 to 8 January 2024.

General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya Lasiran when leading the electricity alert meeting revealed that this apple activity was not only a symbolic and routine form, but as a form of PLN UID Jakarta Raya's commitment to maintaining the reliability of electricity supply at the end of 2023 as well as starting a new year in 2024.

"There are 17 standby posts that we have prepared spread throughout Jakarta, to ensure that the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year celebrations throughout the Jakarta area run smoothly," said Lasiran in a written statement, Wednesday, December 20.

Currently, PLN UID Jakarta Raya has a power supply of 9,062 MW with a peak load of 5,800 MW. So there is still a 36 percent power reserve.

The number of standby personnel during Naru was 2,148 people, consisting of 312 PLN employees and 1,836 Power Transfer Workers.

Not only that, standby supporting equipment was also prepared, including 1 Handling Car (PDKB), 48 units of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), 9 units of Mobile Cable Units (UKB), 61 units of Mobile Substation Units (UGB), 7 Mobile Diesel Units (UDS), 8 Crane units, 76 units of Technical Service Cars (Yantek), 85 motorbikes, and Materials of Disruption available in sufficient quantities.

"At Christmas, we will also monitor the electricity supply of churches in Jakarta. There are 234 churches to be monitored," added Lasiran.

Representative of the church, Panatua GRII, Bunawan Suganda when giving a speech expressed his appreciation to PLN for its quick response so far.

"We also thank PLN for preparing electricity supply for the Christmas celebration. With the support from PLN, we can worship smoothly," said Bunawan.

Not only personnel and training, PLN UID Jakarta Raya also alerted 73 units of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) spread across Jakarta to support the needs of battery-based electric vehicle users, especially during Nataru later.
