Police Make Sure 5 Bodies Found In Unpri Are Legitimate Cadevers

The North Sumatra Regional Police confirmed that the five human bodies found at the University of Prima Indonesia (Unpri) Medan are cadavers, namely the human body that has been preserved for the practicalum needs of students in the anatomic laboratory of Unpri Medan. The North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Agung Setya Imam Efendi, conveyed this directly at the North Sumatra Police Headquarters on Thursday, December 14. "I want to ensure that the five bodies found are cadavers for medical practice purposes," said Agung. He explained that Unpri Medan had valid documents related to the legality of the cadver's corpse. According to him, the five bodies have been present since 2008 and are used as part of medical student learning. "So the public understands that each university must have things like this. I want the public not to misunderstand. We together with Unpri continue to work together so that the necessary medical education can take place," he said. Even so, related to the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the cadaver's body storage at Unpri, the police will carry out further investigations and coordinate with Unpri. In the previous search, the police found five bodies on the 15th floor of the Unpri Medan building after the viral video showed two bodies in the nineth floor water tub.

Universitas Unpri Medan telah menegaskan bahwa jasah-jenas tersebut merupakan kadaver atau mayat yang disewarkan untuk keperluan praktik di kelakutan kedemdis."Di laboratorium anatomic FK Unpri terdapat lima kadaver, satu perempuan, empat laki-laki dan kadaver tersebut telah diadakan oleh rektor sebelumnya oleh Professor Dr Jakobus Tarigan pada 2005," kata Wakil Dean Fakultas Medicine Universita Prima Indonesia Kolonel Purnawirawan Susanto.
