JAKARTA - The National Team for Winning Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Timnas AMIN) emphasized that the candidate pair number 1 did not only carry out campaigns on campuses or urban areas, but targeted rural communities to become increasingly known.

"This AMIN candidate is not only targeting academics, but trying to get to the fishermen's environment, market traders, and farmers," said AMIN national team spokesman Usamah Abdul Aziz in Jakarta, Saturday, quoted by Antara.

Usamah said that Anies as a presidential candidate was quite well known among academics, especially because of the vision and mission and ideas that reached intellectual circles.

Moreover, in carrying out Anies' campaign, he often held interactive dialogues with students and the public so that his ideas could be explored by them.

Nevertheless, Usamah admitted that Anies was still not well known by the village community, so each campaign took the time to visit fishermen, traders, and farmers.

"Indeed, not only to campus, but all to farmers, fishermen, and markets. Indeed, some of our surveys are superior among educated circles," he said.

Usamah added that although it is not well-known for rural communities, Muhaimin as an assistant vice presidential candidate for Anies.

According to him, the man who is familiarly called Cak Imin is relatively well known among the lower classes because he often enters and leaves the village anywhere.

"Fortunately there is Cak Imin who often enters outside the village," he said.
