Fake Soldiers Arrested After Deceiving Former Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Cellphone Sellers

JAKARTA - A fake TNI member with the initials KNP (41) was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pasar Rebo Police after stealing the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 cellphone with the mode of fraud.

In the action, the perpetrator wore a green t-shirt, green trousers and black PDL shoes. The perpetrator carried out his action on Jalan Mahoni, to be precise inside Kesdam Hospital, Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta.

Pasar Rebo Police Chief Kompol Haris said the fraud mode carried out by the KNP suspect began when the perpetrator saw a post on Facebook about the sale of cellphones. Then there was communication between the perpetrator and the victim via WhatsApp.

"The perpetrator at the time of committing fraud used a fake name and wore clothes in the form of green shirts and green trousers such as clothes worn by the army," Kompol Haris told reporters, Friday, November 24.

The perpetrator used the army clothes to convince the victim. After the cellphone was with the perpetrator, the perpetrator pretended to call.

"The perpetrator reasoned to charge the cellphone he was going to buy, while waiting for the victim to be careless and when the victim was caught off guard the perpetrator, he ran away," he said.

Victim M Faisal (22) then reported the incident that happened to him to the Pasar Rebo Police Headquarters. The perpetrator then pursued.

"The perpetrator was arrested after the victim reported. The perpetrator was charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code," he said.
