Penajam Police Resnarkoba Arrest 3 Recidivists During Mahakam Antique Operation

PENAJAM - The Drug Investigation Unit of the Penajam Paser Utara Police, East Kalimantan Province, arrested three people who were drug recidivists during the Mahakam Anti-Drug Operation (Antik) which was held from September 19 to October 9, 2023. "In the Antique Operation, three drug offenders who are also drug recidivists were arrested," said Deputy Head of North Penajam Paser Police, Kompol Bergas Hartoko, in Penajam, Antara, Friday, October 13. The three drug recidivists who were arrested were sentenced or sentenced to six and seven years in prison. During their sentence, they were considered to be of good behavior so that they received a reduced sentence (remission). "But after being released from prison, the three of them were not deterred and were again involved in criminal acts of drug abuse and trafficking," he explained. The three recidivists who were arrested again included the US being caught in a drug case in 2016 which was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison, and released in October 2022 after receiving a cut in detention. Then AR was involved in a drug case in 2017 which was sentenced to six years in prison, and released in October 2022 after receiving remission, and RE was caught in a drug case in 2019 which was sentenced to six years and six months in prison, and received a free letter in July 2023. Personnel from the Narcotics Unit also arrested 12 other people who were involved in criminal acts of drug abuse and trafficking in the 2023 Mahakam Antique Operation. "So during Operation Antique personnel can uncover 14 drug cases with 15 suspects," he said. The evidence confiscated from the 14 drug cases was 67.22 grams of crystal methamphetamine, he continued, and other evidence in the form of eight two-wheeled motorized vehicles belonging to the suspect.

There were 11 drug cases revealed in Penajam District, two cases in Babulu District and one case in Sepaku District. All suspects in drug cases revealed in Operation Antique Mahakam 2023, have a role as intermediaries and dealers as well as users, said Bergas Hartoko.
