Capture CCTV screen for the theft of a box car

JAKARTA - A box car unit on Jalan Muwardi, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, was stolen by a group of thieves. The case was later reported to the West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"The team has been dispatched to the scene to collect evidence and witness statements to hunt down the perpetrators," said Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Andri Kurniawan when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, September 3.

Currently, the Criminal Investigation Unit is still investigating the case. The police also confiscated CCTV camera footage of the theft incident.

"We managed to secure CCTV footage around the location. From the CCTV footage, it is estimated that there is more than one perpetrator," he said.

In the CCTV footage, the police identified that the perpetrators were carrying out their actions using private cars.

"The perpetrator stopped his car right in front of the box car which was targeted by the perpetrators. One of the perpetrators got down and took a box car with a device suspected of being the Letter T key," he explained.

After the case was reported, the police had conducted a crime scene investigation at the scene.

"The team has processed the crime scene. We are still pursuing the perpetrators," he said.
