Police Receive Handover Of Senpi Remaining Conflict Of Aceh

NAGAN RAYA - Nagan Raya Police Chief AKBP Rudi Saeful Hadi received the handover of one FN type short-barreled firearm from a resident at the Beutong Police Headquarters.

"We are very grateful and appreciate the people who have handed over these firearms to the police," said Nagan Raya Police Chief, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 1.

According to him, the one short-barreled firearm was found by Sofyan, a resident of Lhok Pange Village, East Seunagan District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh.

The firearm was found on Tuesday (29/8) in his garden, Blang Teungku Village, East Seunagan District, Nagan Raya Regency.

The discovery of these firearms will be reported to the Aceh Police Chief so that the chronology of the discovery of firearms can be known by a farmer in his area.

If people find firearms in the garden or other locations, AKBP Rudi Saeful Hadi hopes that he will not be afraid to hand them over to the police.

Regarding the discovery of these firearms, said Rudi, the Nagan Raya Police will give awards to the people who found the firearms.

"We give this award because the community obeys the law, so this needs to be given appreciation," he said.

He suspected that the firearms were the remainder of the Aceh conflict period.

Sofyan found the firearm while cleaning his garden, or when he was about to plant corn and shallots.

"While I was cutting wood with a machete, suddenly the end of the machete hit iron," said Sofyan.

Out of curiosity, Sofyan tried to dig up the object, then found a firearm in the ground.

After being found, he then took the firearm to his house, then cleaned it.

"Because these firearms cannot be stored, I told the Beutong Police Chief to hand them over to the Nagan Raya Police Chief," said Sofyan.
