North Sumatra Police Prepare 150 Tourism Police In Lake Toba Area

The North Sumatra Police (North Sumatra) prepared 150 tourism police by forming a Vital Object Security Unit (Sat Pamobvit), to support comfort in public spaces, especially in the Lake Toba area which is designated as a Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP) by the Central Government.

Sat Pamobvit consists of 150 personnel spread across seven Lake Toba buffer police stations.

"The inauguration of the Pamobvit Unit is so that there are tourism police in the area," said North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 25.

He said the tourism police could work well in collaboration with the Lake Toba Super Priority Tourism Destinations Authority (DPSD). This means ensuring how tourists who visit feel security.

The task of the tourism police is to maintain, protect, protect the tourists present.

"Provide assistance if necessary with the method of security and activities in the field and how we provide assistance and support for the things needed by tourists related to the direction, location where the places to go and attract tourists so that they feel comfortable and served well," he said.

He hopes that with the presence of the tourism police, tourists will be impressed by the various tours in Lake Toba.

"We, as security and order providers at this location, want to contribute so that tourists can bring the impression of a safe return home. There are many local wisdoms in this Batak land that can bring tourists to feel it so deeply. And that is our common goal," he said.

Kapolda said he wanted to maintain a true sense of security for the community in the area and all people, both foreign tourists and local tourists.

The North Sumatra Police will also build complaint services in the form of Call Center 110 and Super Apps Polri to respond quickly to complaints.

"We will place 150 tourism police every day there to ensure tourists carry out activities safely and fill their vacation time in the Lake Toba area. Personnel must ensure the comfort of tourists enjoying the beauty of Lake Toba," said the North Sumatra Police Chief.
