The North Sumatra Police (North Sumatra) prepared 150 tourism police by forming a Vital Object Security Unit (Sat Pamobvit), to support comfort in public spaces, especially in the Lake Toba area which is designated as a Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP) by the Central Government.

Sat Pamobvit consists of 150 personnel spread across seven Lake Toba buffer police stations.

"The inauguration of the Pamobvit Unit is so that there are tourism police in the area," said North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 25.

He said the tourism police could work well in collaboration with the Lake Toba Super Priority Tourism Destinations Authority (DPSD). This means ensuring how tourists who visit feel security.

The task of the tourism police is to maintain, protect, protect the tourists present.
