Bungo Police Pocket 4 Names Allegedly Perpetrators Of Extortion Of Land Certificate Making In Jambi

JAMBI - Police are investigating allegations of illegal levies (extortion) in making land certificates or Complete Certification Land Registration (PTSL) in Jambi. So far 50 witnesses have been examined.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bungo Police, AKP Septa Badoyo, revealed that this case is entering the stage of examining witnesses whose number has the potential to increase along with the investigation process.

"Yes, it is true that there are illegal levies related to land certificates or PTSLs outside the provisions of government programs, especially the Complete Certification Land Registration (PTSL) program," he said in Jambi, Thursday,

In this case, the Bungo Police have identified four perpetrators suspected of being involved in the practice of PTSL Jambi extortion. Each perpetrator has a different role in the action.

Septa Badoyo also emphasized that his party would process the perpetrators according to their respective roles.

The handling of this case will be carried out carefully to ensure accountability for their actions in accordance with applicable law.

The Bungo Police plan to immediately hold a stage of determining the suspect in the near future.

Previously, the Jambi Province Saber Extortion had secured four village officials in Bungo Regency for making land certificates or PTSL to the public.

This alleged extortion was carried out by a number of village officials outside the provisions in the implementation of the program.

This case relates to the extortion case against land certificates in Dwi Karya Bakti Hamlet in Pelepat District, Bungo Regency.

The Jambi Province Saber Extortion through the Jambi Police Ditreskrimsus has transferred this case to the Bungo Police to investigate all facts related to the extortion of this land certificate.

The Jambi Province Saber Extortion Task Force has conducted OTT on four village officials in Bungo Regency, Jambi who were caught committing allegations of extortion in making land certificates.

Of the four people held accountable, the Jambi Province Saber Extortion Task Force also confiscated evidence of IDR 17 million.

According to the rules, it should only cost Rp. 200 thousand, but the fact is that these village officials are trying to increase prices to increase from 200 thousand, to Rp. 800 thousand to Rp. 1.2 million.

From the results of the investigation, the Jambi Province Saber Extortion Task Force found hundreds of certificates that could potentially become extortion.
