Jokowi: Cultural Diversity Becomes The Strength Of RI-Mozambik Cooperation

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo said the cultural diversity of the people of Mozambique and Indonesia is a force to gather cooperation.

"Let's use this cultural diversity to unite us, let's use this cultural diversity to strengthen cooperation between our people," Jokowi said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 23.

President Jokowi invited the people of Mozambique to respect each other's cultural diversity and make differences a strength to unite the nation.

This call was conveyed by Jokowi in front of the Mozambique community at the Red Bulls Association Field, Maputo, Mozambique Republic.

Like Mozambique, President Jokowi also said that Indonesia is the home of cultural diversity whose people respect each other's differences.

Jokowi said his first visit to Mozambique became more special because he could attend the national cultural event.

"It is an honor for me to be invited to a national cultural event, this is my visit to Mozambique to be more special," he said.

Meanwhile, the President of the Republic of Mozambique Filipe Nyusi expressed his appreciation to President Jokowi for his visit to Mozambique.

"I would like to thank my friend, the honorable President of the Republic of Indonesia who has come to visit Mozambique," he said.

Starting his inaugural visit to Maputo, Wednesday, President Jokowi attended the invitation of the President of the Republic of Mozambique Filipe Nyusi at the opening ceremony of the 2023 National Cultural Festival or the National Festival of Culture Mozambique which was held at the Red Bulls Association Field, Maputo, Republic of Mozambique.
