The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has decided not to detain Kamaruddin Simanjuntak even though he is a suspect in the alleged case of spreading false news reported by the President Director of PT Taspen, Antonius Nicholas Stephanus Kosasih. The reason is that the famous lawyer is cooperative in undergoing the legal process.

"The person concerned was not detained with consideration, KS's brother was present to fulfill investigators and KS's brother was cooperative," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Tuesday, August 15.

Originally, Kamaruddin Simanjuntak was questioned as a suspect by the Directorate of Cyber Crime on Monday, August 14.

During the examination which took place from 11.30 WIB to 21.00 WIB, the man who is also a lawyer for Brigadier J was asked about 16 questions.

However, said Ramadhan, it is possible that investigators will summon Kamaruddin Simanjuntak again to provide information. However, this is done if deemed necessary.

"And we need to add that if there is further information, further examination will be carried out," said Ramadhan.

Previously, the National Police denied the assumption that Bareskrim had criminalized Kamaruddin Simanjuntak.

All series of investigations and investigations to the determination of the suspect against Kamaruddin Simanjuntak in the alleged case of spreading false news are in accordance with the rules.

Thus, investigators or investigators will not criminalize Kamaruddin in this case.
