CASN Selection Begins September 2023, Batam City Government Sets 1,100 Formations

JAKARTA - The selection process for prospective state civil servants (CASN) will be carried out in September 2023. The Batam City Government (Pemkot), Riau Islands (Kepri), has determined that it will open 1,100 formations.

A total of 1,100 formations will be intended for technical personnel, health workers, and teachers. Head of the Batam City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) Hasnah said this formation was opened to honorary and general workers.

"Alhamdulillah, Batam will get 1,100 formations for ASN candidates in 2023. So please those who are interested in becoming state apparatus can prepare themselves. The basic needs are indeed the most in the three formations," said Hasnah.

He conveyed that the opening of the administrative selection began in September 2023. "Now the name has transformed. In the past, CPNS has now changed to CASN (Canon ASN). PPPK personnel are also ASN. We hope that this need can be filled to the fullest," he said, as quoted from Antara, Saturday, August 12.

He further said that related to technical instructions, the opening of the CASN selection was still the same as the previous year. All files were uploaded through an online system provided by the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB).

"For this reason, the center is still fulfilling the proposal we submitted. Because the need exists. So prepare yourself, so that you can go through every stage of the selection," he added.

He appealed to prospective participants who will take part in the selection to prepare themselves for each stage of the selection, because all files must be uploaded and ensure that each document is in accordance with the provisions.

"We hope that the formation provided by this center can be filled and can strengthen the performance of the Batam City Government in the field of fulfilling human resources," said Hasnah.

The PAN-RB Ministry has set 572,496 formations for the acceptance of prospective state civil servants (ASN) in 2023.

PAN-RB Minister Azwar Anas said the number was for formation in 72 agencies with the central government as many as 78,862 ASN and local governments 493,634 ASN.

"The allocation of CASN formation for the central government is 28,903 for CPNS and 49,959 for PPPK," he said.

As for the local government, 296,084 teacher PPPKs were allocated, 154,724 health workers, and 42,826 technical PPPKs. The selection process will begin in September 2023.
