The chairman of the North Sumatra DPRD, Baskami Ginting, said that his party would send a proposal for the name of the candidate for acting (Pj) for the Governor of North Sumatra, after receiving the implementation instructions (Jutlak) from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"We have received the letter from the Minister of Home Affairs, ordering that we immediately send three names, at least one name," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 31.

Ginting said that after receiving the letter from the Minister of Home Affairs, his party had held a meeting with the leadership of the council and submitted it to the factions in the North Sumatra DPRD to submit the proposal for the names of the candidates for the Acting Governor.

"Today handed over the names to me and we will have another meeting with the leadership. No later than August 9 it has been sent to Jakarta," he said.

According to him, the figure of the Acting Party who meets the requirements with echelon I rank in the North Sumatra Provincial Government is currently the North Sumatra Regional Secretary, Arief STrinugroho.

"If until now the echelon I is still the regional secretary. We'll see later, the name appears or not. So I can't tell the people yet because today I'm waiting for a letter from the faction," he said.

In addition, Ginting said, the North Sumatra DPRD together with the Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi, had signed a joint agreement with the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget for the 2024 fiscal year.

Therefore, Ginting hopes that the Acting Governor of North Sumatra can run the program contained in the 2024 APBD which has been ratified.

"This APBD has been knocked, which is 2024, please comply with the program's APBD. In particular, we will complete the 2.7 trillion project no later than December, all 100 percent has been completed," he said.
