East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa moved quickly by directly monitoring the implementation of clean water distribution in areas experiencing drought in Kunjorowesi Village, Mojokerto Regency.

He said according to data from the East Java BPBD, the water crisis hit three villages at the foot of Gunung Penanggan, Mojokerto Regency, namely Kunjorowesi and Manduro Manggung Gajah (Ngoro District) and Duyung Village ( Trawas District).

Governor Khofifah accompanied by Mojokerto Regent Ikfina Fahmawati ensured that the process of distributing clean water using a tank car with a capacity of 4,000 liters went well.

In total, the residents affected by the clean water drought reached 7,589 people or 2,409 families. With details of the affected residents from Kunjorowesi Village 4,937 people or 1,556 families, Manduro Manggung Gajah Village 1,861 people or 597 families and Duyung Village 791 people or 256 families

He ensured that the East Java Provincial BPBD would continue to distribute clean water to a number of areas hit by drought. In Ngoro District, water distribution is carried out for 45 days from June 12 to July 26, 2023.

"Alhamdulillah, today we can give greetings in the form of clean water supply. Here, the daily needs are an average of 10 tanks with a capacity of 4,000 liters, but not only in this hamlet, but also in several other hamlets. However, I saw that there have been many reservoirs from BPBD at a number of points in this village. Of course this is part of our efforts to bring the distribution of clean water closer to people's homes," he said.

Meanwhile, Mojokerto Regent Ikfina Fahmawati said the arrival of Governor Khofifah was also to jointly find solutions for Kunjorowesi residents regarding the need for clean water, especially in the dry season.
