JAKARTA - The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, confirmed that today he was specially summoned by President Joko Widodo to the State Palace. He was called to a limited meeting related to the arrangement of the Borobudur area.

"Yes, the meeting was limited regarding the arrangement of the Borobudur area. So the meeting was chaired directly by Mr. Jokowi with the relevant ministries. The point is how this project is quickly resolved," said Ganjar when confirmed, Tuesday, June 13.

During the meeting, Ganjar continued, President Jokowi asked all parties, including Ministries, Provinces to Regencies/Cities related to the arrangement of the Borobudur area to accelerate. Jokowi hopes that the National Strategic Project will be completed on time.

"Earlier, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs said that there must be a single institution that manages Borobudur. The Minister of Religion said that there must be one room for the worship of the Buddhists. Meanwhile, in the provinces and regencies of Magelang, we are asked to take their respective roles to resolve what has not been completed," he explained.

The Magelang Regency Government, Ganjar continued, was asked to immediately clean up the construction of a waste management site. Meanwhile, the Central Java Provincial Government was asked to clean up the Kujon Market.

"We have budgeted for the Kujon market, but it cannot work because there is a permit that has not yet been implemented, namely the heritage impact assessment (HIA) permit. If the permit has been issued, it can be accelerated. Overall, most projects have been completed," he explained.

President Jokowi continued Ganjar, it is true that Ganjar is concerned about the Borobudur Area structuring project. Because apart from heritage, Borobudur is one of the national strategic projects that has extraordinary historical value and has enormous economic potential.

"In addition to completing physical projects, we were also ordered by the President to make many events such as the Borobudur Marathon, Tour de Borobudur, music events and others. Including the worship event, because during the Vesak yesterday, all hotels and balconydes in Magelang were full. Of course this is good from an economic and tourism perspective," he said.

Asked whether there were political discussions other than discussing the arrangement of the Borobudur area, Ganjar did not deny it. He said there were always political discussions when he met President Jokowi.

"There is always (political discussion). If I meet Mr. Jokowi, there is always talk about it (political)," he explained.

During the meeting, Jokowi continued, Ganjar conveyed about communication between several parties. Jokowi continued Ganjar always monitors the movement every day.

"So when the party leader meets another party, he always monitors. Earlier he asked me, did he know that the news (meeting between party leaders) was not Mr. Governor? I answered monitoring, sir.
