JAKARTA - Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez, again failed to finish the race in MotoGP 2023. Marquez fell while riding a motorbike at the Mugello Circuit, Italy, last weekend.

This is the third time Marquez has failed to finish in MotoGP 2023. Previously, he was also unable to finish the race in Portugal and France.

Marquez also expressed his disappointment. He admitted that he had been driving well and tried to appear burdenless.

However, there were certain challenges and moments that eventually made him fall and be eliminated from the race.

"I was driving very well and (hit) a little margin, I also felt comfortable and not stressed. I saw (Pecco) Bagnaia and (Jorge) Martin qualify, so I focused on staying with (Luca) Marini in the group and trying to achieve my goal in the top six or seven," Marquez said after the race.

"I had a moment at Turn 10 on the first lap and then came back into the last corner before I fell," he continued, quoted from the team's official statement via Antara.

After a pretty good performance from the qualifying round and Sprint Race, Marquez started the main race by lined up in front of the grid. The temperature continued to rise throughout the day and the light rain had fallen in the afternoon.

The start of the race was aggressive with the riders in the first five positions of the grid jostling to get positions at the first corner. In that condition, Marquez defended and entered fifth.

He competed with his younger brother Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing), Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM), and Luca Marini (Mooney VR46) to fight for a small gap that would lead one to third.

Unfortunately, at the moment of entering the last corner, Marquez lost his lead at Turn 15, and was eliminated from the sixth lap race.

Even though he was very disappointed, Marquez was grateful that he was not injured and injured in the race. He can prepare for the seventh round of MotoGP this season in Germany.

"Right now we have to keep growing and keep working well. Luckily, I wasn't injured in an Italian accident, and we still have another race next week that gives us the opportunity to keep working well," said Marquez.
