JAKARTA - BMW Group has reached an important milestone from the Ragensburg factory, Germany. The facility has now produced as many as 100,000 units of electric vehicles (EVs) as well as achieved the targets set earlier this year.
The 10,000th line produced by the factory is BMW iX1 with a metallic Blue Bay Lagoon color. This compact SUV is planned to be sent abroad, precisely in the Le Reunion area.
Regensburg Plant Director, Armin Ebner said the achievement proves the factory has extraordinary commitment and flexibility in producing vehicles in the midst of economic conditions experiencing uncertainty.
"I am very proud of our team at Plant Regensburg, which once again shows extraordinary commitment and flexibility, despite the volatile market conditions," Ebner said on the company's official website, Monday, December 16.

The plant, located in eastern Bavaria, has been producing the BMW iX1 unit for the global market since last November 2022.
Meanwhile, more than a third of the vehicles produced by the factory are electrified lines, namely plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and EV.
The plant also has a target to exceed last year's production figures of 238,301 units at the plant, with a total assembly of more than 330,000 annual cars.
More than 1,400 BMW X1 and BMW X2 models are currently out of production lines on the BMW Group Plant Regensburg every one working day. Meanwhile, the X1 model is now offered in several variants ranging from pure burning (ICE), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), to EV in iX1 form.
