JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development (Menko Infra) Agus Harimukti Yudhoyono (AHY) reviewed the readiness of the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulon Progo Klaten-Prambanan Toll Road ahead of the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays.

"My visit as Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development is currently with the Minister of Public Works (Dody Hanggodo) to ensure that the toll road is approximately 8.6 kilometers long, from Klaten-Prambanan as a quick solution to unravel traffic congestion during Christmas and New Year," said Coordinating Minister AHY in Klaten, Central Java, Antara, Tuesday, December 17.

AHY reviewed the readiness of the 8.6-kilometer Klaten-Prambanan functional toll road ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays. His party ensures the readiness of toll road infrastructure as a quick solution to unravel the potential for traffic density in the area when the peak of the holiday flow.

Although still in the refinement stage, Coordinating Minister AHY hopes that the functional toll road can be used temporarily by paying attention to the safety and comfort aspects of road users.

"We know that Christmas and New Year will have higher traffic that will occur in this area, therefore by functioning the toll road which is still being perfected, it is referred to as a functional toll road," he said.

The government's main focus is to keep the flow of transportation smooth and safe for the safety of people traveling during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
