JAKARTA - A total of 1,200 people attended the declaration of support for the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, as a presidential candidate in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Saturday.

The declaration was attended by retired TNI-Polri officers, cultural activist figures, and social activists who jointly supported Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections.

The founder and chairman of the Gapura Nusantara Volunteer Board, Admiral (Ret.) of the TNI Bernard Kent Sondakh, said that the community supports Ganjar because his track record is clear, namely being able to maintain the four basic consensus of the state.

The four are Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

"We see that these four consensus parties want to threaten, want to replace Pancasila, want to replace the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Now we need nationalists to maintain and maintain the four basic consensus of this country," said Bernard as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 10. Bernard said that retired TNI-Polri journalists and various cultural activists and social activists gathered the declaration from the nationalist community in Jakarta to jointly support Ganjar Pranowo's struggle in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections.

The retired TNI-Polri officers include former West Kalimantan Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) 2009-2010 Inspector General Pol (Ret.) Erwin Tobing, former Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) 2015-2017 Marshal (Ret.) TNI Agus Supriatna and former member of Commission I DPR RI Major General (Ret.) TNI Tubagus (Tb) Hasanuddin.

Bernard is also a former Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy 2002-2005.

The declaration was attended by Ganjar Pranowo accompanied by his winning team, Ahmad Basarah and Utut Adianto.

Ganjar admitted that the enthusiasm of the Gapura Nusantara volunteers immediately filled his energy quickly so that he was able to make him touched and proud.

"My energy feels like I've been pumped out, it's like the cellphone was poked at the'speed charging' immediately fully of course because there are so many volunteers who are present today from various groups," said Ganjar.

Ganjar said he was also part of the retired TNI-Polri family. Ganjar's father was a retired police officer who at that time was still Lieutenant One (now equivalent to Police Inspector One/IPtu).

Ganjar said he understood that the Republic of Indonesia was born from blood, from life, from property and sweat from predecessors who fought during the colonial period. So the current freedom felt is not free, it is not given just like that.

Therefore, Ganjar is determined to continue the hopes of the volunteers to maintain the four basic consensus of the country when elected so that the dream of the nation's predecessors regarding a prosperous Indonesia can be realized soon.

Suparni (55), one of the residents present in the declaration, stated the reasons for supporting Ganjar. "The person wants to go to the small people," said Suparni.

Another reason for choosing Ganjar was because he was considered anti-radicalism and honest and hard-working like President Joko Widodo. The attitude shown when Ganjar led Central Java Province was considered an entrepreneur who lives in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Siti Choliyah (53) can be a role model for the community.

"Pak Ganjar is indeed anti-radicalism, yes, he is also honest and hard-working. Like Mr. Jokowi," said Siti.

Hearing Ganjar today coming to Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Nafsiyah (53) from Cipinang, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, immediately rushed to pack up to participate in the declaration of support for the presidential candidate held by the Gapura Nusantara Volunteers.

"Hopefully Pak Ganjar can be trusted by the community," said the Dasawisma cadre RT0 11/RW 08, Cipinang Village.
