Lampung Police Arrest 9 'Brother Family Teluk' Motorcycle Gangs That Are Often Disturbing Residents

The Directorate of Samapta (Ditsamapta) of the Lampung Police arrested nine motorcycle gangs who often disturbed the residents of Bandarlampung City in Sumur Batu Village. "We arrested nine motorcycle gangs during a brawl at 04.00 WIB on Thursday," Head of the Dalmas Patrol Team of the Lampung Regional Police, Ipda Parlindungan Siregar, in Bandarlampung, Antara, Friday, June 9. He said the nine motorbike genks were secured when the Dalmas Ditsamapta Patrol Team carried out night patrols in an effort to anticipate brawls by motorcycle gangs. "Patrol activities by the Ditsamapta Team will continue to be carried out to prevent crimes, such as motorcycle and illegal racing gangs as well as street crimes and other crimes in the Bandarlampung area," he said. The nine motorcycle gangs are members of the Gulf Brotherhood Family group and the Relaxed Youth Association in the local town's Betung Bay. "They (motorcycle gangs) have been taken to the Lampung Police Headquarters to explore further information," he said. Parlindungan said that of the nine motorbike gangs that were secured, his party also secured a number of evidences that would be used for brawls.

"The evidence that was successfully secured were eight sharp weapons of various types and two units of Suzuki and Honda motorcycles," he said.
