JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again examined television presenter Brigita Purnawati Manohara as a witness in the alleged corruption case for the inactive Central Mamberamo Regent Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP). "That's right, today we summoned witness Brigita M to witness the suspect RHP," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, June 5. Brigita was initially going to be questioned on Wednesday, May 24. However, the person concerned was not present so the investigator rescheduled the examination today. Ali said that Brigita had been present at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta, and would soon undergo an examination by investigators from the anti-corruption agency. "He was present and an examination was immediately carried out by the investigative team," he said. Anti-graft agency investigators have named the inactive Central Mamberamo Regent Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) as a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to infrastructure development projects in Central Mamberamo Regency. After developing the case, the KPK then re-established Ricky Ham Pagawak as a suspect in the alleged money laundering case (TPPU). The KPK investigating team then confiscated RHP assets worth around Rp. 30 billion. This asset is suspected to be related to the investigation of the alleged money laundering case (TPPU). KPK investigators then confirmed related to the alleged flow of money from the suspect RHP to several parties, one of whom was witness Brigita Manohara. Brigita admitted that she had returned all the money that was suspected to have come from the suspect, Central Mamberamo Regent Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP), to the KPK. "I have transferred, a total of Rp480 million. I have transferred all of them," Brigita told reporters via text message on Tuesday (26 July 2022).

However, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri stated that the refund of money originating from criminal acts of corruption and causing state losses did not immediately invalidate criminal charges. "Regarding several parties connected to the RHP suspect, they have even received money and have been returned, as stipulated in Law Number 31 of 1999 that the return of state losses does not erase criminal charges," Firli said in Jakarta, Monday, February 20.
