The presidential candidate promoted by the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP) Anies Baswedan responded casually to the results of the Kompas Research and Development survey which placed him at the lowest rank compared to Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo.

During a visit to Jeru Village, Malang Regency, East Java, Anies said that the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) would only be held for eight months so that the results of the existing survey were still fluctuating.

"The journey is still long, there are still eight months left. Many things will happen. If you monitor, always the survey for months before the implementation is still volatile," Anies said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 24.

Previously, based on the results of the Kompas Research and Development survey, Prabowo Subianto's electability was in first place with 24.5 percent, Ganjar Pranowo was in second place with 22.8 percent, and Anies Baswedan was in last place with 13.6 percent.

Anies explained that the survey will be an important ingredient in determining future plans and strategies. However, he could not describe in detail what strategy would be implemented.

He observed the implementation of surveys from various institutions that were fairly often carried out. This is proof that there is a high concern regarding the electability of the prospective presidential candidates who will contest.

"Next month's election, the intensity of the survey is normal. But now, the election is eight months away, the survey is extraordinary. It feels like almost every one or two weeks there is a survey. So it illustrates that there is a high concern and the dynamics is still very volatile," he said.

Even though the survey puts itself in last place, he believes that the 2024 General Election will get optimal results. This is because he always accommodates the aspirations of change that continue to echo.

"If optimism, optimism is high. We are even very optimistic. Because we feel aspirations, desires, changes, and justice, it resonates. Of course we have to try, not just with optimism," he said.
