JAKARTA - It was recorded that there were 9,481 animated training graduates throughout 2015-2022 from the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) through one of the work units under the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI), Denpasar Industrial Education and Training Center (BDI), Bali.

Head of BPSDMI of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan in a statement, in Jakarta, Saturday, said that BDI Denpasar specializes in supporting applications, game development, and crafts or craft-based industries.

"This program training is based on system competence 3 in 1, namely training, competency certification and placement," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 27.

Every year, the Denpasar BDI Business Incubator fosters about 10-20 tenants or startups engaged in digital content, animation, games, programming-based, and crafts.

Masrokhan hopes that after completing this incubation program, the startups can become independent businesses.

Currently, the BDI Denpasar Business Incubator is carrying out IP BOOTCAMP offline on May 2, June 9, 2023. IP Bootcamp is an intensive training program for intellectual property (IP) development with experienced teachers.

"Tim yang berhasil lolos hingga tahap akhir akan mendapatkan kesempatan menjadi tenant Inkubator Bisnis BDI Denpasar," ujarnya pula.

There are six teams that are participating in IP Bootcamp, namely Namona Studio from Yogyakarta, Draw (Padang), Kreasilab.id (Jakarta), Guritama (Padang), La forced Studio (Bali), and Pixli Studio (Bali).

In the Bootcamp IP, participants studied the process of pre-production of the IP animations for each studio for portfolios consisting of storywriting and making scenarios, character design, voice over, as well as storyboard and animatic creation.

The Bootcamp IP program will resume hybrid business incubation until December 2023 for production guidance mentoring and management and business mentoring.

The development support in the digital industry is in line with the projected growth of Indonesia's digital economy, which in 2025 will reach 145-150 billion US dollars.

Furthermore, in addition to the digital industry, the BDI Denpasar Business Incubator program also includes the craft or craft industry.

The craft or craft industry is able to make a significant contribution to the national economy, as reflected in the export value of Indonesian handicraft products in 2022 which was recorded at 949 million US dollars or an increase of 3.6 percent compared to 2021 which reached 916 million US dollars.
