JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz inaugurated the Indonesian Pavilion at Hannover Messe 2023 on Thursday 17 April morning Hannover time. The Indonesian Pavilion is a place for Indonesian mainstay industry players to showcase their technology, products and skills, as well as interact with visitors from business circles and important world figures. Indonesia collaborates with around 157 co-exhibitors who will participate in the Indonesian Pavilion, where each sector will be selected by each champion and walkabout exhibition from each sector.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto on the occasion explained that as many as 157 co-exhibitors occupy an area of about 3,000 square meters, consisting of the private sector, research and development institutions, start-ups, government institutions, and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

"Indonesia's participation in this event is to present the agenda for national economic transformation through increasing industrial and technology cooperation, encouraging exports for foreign investment, and strengthening bilateral relations, not only with Germany but also with other European countries," said Airlangga.

Of the total area of 3000 m2, an area of 1500 m2 is made for the co-exhibitor zone in accordance with the Highlight Theme Indonesia Partner Country, namely zone A for companies with the theme sustainability and energy, zone B as the main zone Making Indonesia 4.0 and engineering part and solution, zone C for BUMN, zone D for investment/industrial park theme and human capital, as well as the HM zone intended for startup and innovation and HM Display Category themes.

The Indonesian Pavilion is open to visitors to the Hannover Messe exhibition which comes from international business players and policy makers from various countries to see the ability to innovate Indonesian industrial technology and conduct interactions that in the long term are expected to be interested in making business investments in Indonesia.
