Eid Prayer At Bogor Palace, Paspampres Becomes President Jokowi's Priest

BOGOR - Indonesian President Joko Widodo held Eid al-Adha prayers with a limited congregation, in the courtyard of the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Tuesday, July 20 together with members of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres).

"I performed the Eid al-Adha prayer this morning in the courtyard of the Bogor Presidential Palace with a limited congregation", the President wrote on his Instagram account @jokowi as quoted in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 20.

The President said that during the service, those who acted as muezzin, priest, and preacher were members of Paspampres.

According to the President, although the congregation was limited, the congregational prayer went smoothly.

"As the preacher said, 'all trials can be passed well when faced with patience. Be patient to sacrifice carrying out Islamic teachings and let go of selfishness to get closer to Allah SWT', wrote the President.
