JAKARTA - PT PAL Indonesia is moving quickly to complete the repair of commercial ships that will be used for the 2024 Eid homecoming flow or Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri.
Head of the Maintenance and Repair Division of PT PAL Indonesia Abdul Honi in a statement in Surabaya, East Java, Thursday, March 14, said that his party continues to be committed to providing the best service so that passenger ships are ready for the 2024 Eid homecoming season.
"With high enthusiasm and solid team support, we ensure that every ship we handle will return to optimal conditions and meet the established quality," he said, quoted from Antara.
Several passenger ships belonging to water transportation service providers such as PT PELNI (Persero) and PT Atosim Lampung Pelayaran (ALP) entrust their maintenance and repair to PT PAL Indonesia.
Even though he was fasting, Abdul Honi said that PT PAL employees were still dedicated to completing maintenance and repairs in a short time so that the ship could return to service the upcoming Lebaran 2024 homecoming.
KM Sinabung is one of a series of passenger ships belonging to PT Pelni (Persero) which is currently carrying out maintenance and repair at PT PAL Indonesia.
The scope of work includes repainting the platform, maintenance of the deck, and maintenance of vital ship booster components.
Apart from KM Sinabung belonging to PT Pelni (Persero), there is also KM Mutiara Persada III owned by PT Atosim Lampung Pelayaran (ALP).
The Ro-Ro type ship, which has a Surabaya-Lampung shipping route, is also carrying out maintenance and repair at PT PAL to restore the ship's performance and appearance to make it more prime and elegant, so that passengers can feel a sense of security and comfort.
"The entire series of maintenance and repair of ships carried out by PT PAL follows government regulations and the applicable classification," he said.

Head of the Dok Gali Department of PT PAL Indonesia Lasma Rosida is optimistic that even though the target time for maintenance is short, PT PAL can complete it on time.
"Despite the tight schedule of ship repairs and queues, we will continue to strive so that maintenance can be completed on time and with the best quality," he said.
