Anies Baswedan: Expenditures In The Education Sector Consider Investment

Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan said that spending in the field of education should not be considered as a cost, but consider it an investment.

"Therefore, the state should not be stingy when it comes to investing in education, and do not be stingy with teachers," said Anies Baswedan in the presidential candidate final debate at the JCC, Sunday, February 4.

Anies also emphasized that never give a minimal wage or salary so that teachers can concentrate on teaching.

"So we provide support to teachers in terms of status, lecturers too, then their income and honor," explained Anies.

Anies sees that there are still tens of thousands of honorary teachers who have not been appointed as PPPK and 1.6 million teachers have not been certified.

"So the program that I think must be carried out to accelerate teacher certification, the appointment of 700 thousand honorary teachers to become PPK teachers, scholarships for teachers and children of lecturers and education staff children," said Anies.
