Instagram Releases Music And Translation Options In Notes For Troubled Teens
JAKARTA - Since its launch in December, the Notes feature on Instagram has become very popular. Now, users can add music and translation.
When users attach music, they will get a 30-second song to the status update, along with short captions under the track. Then, other users can tap on the song to listen to the snippet.
In addition, Instagram also adds translation buttons under Notes so that users can easily understand when their friends upload their status in other languages.
However, it is not known for sure whether these two updates have been rolled out globally. When VOI tested it on Instaram in version 287.0.0.25.77, music and translation options have not appeared.
Notes are a platform for users to express feelings or provide information via short status, including text with 60 characters and emojis on their profiles.
Both friends and followers, can see Notes right above Direct Messages (DM). According to Meta, parent Instagram, many teens have used Notes.

More than 100 million teenage accounts have posted on Notes in the last three months. By adding a music option that will appear for 24 hours, they can express themselves there.
Notes is a small text-based investment that implies the company is starting competition with Twitter.
Others, Meta has confirmed that it is working on an independent decentralized social network focused on text-based updates.
The report states that users can log in with Instagram credentials and fill in profile details from existing accounts. This service will be connected to ActivityPub, a network protocol that supports Mastodon, as quoted from Engadget, Wednesday, June 14.
