SURABAYA - Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Surabaya (Ubaya) Dr. Yoan Nursari Simanjuntak confirmed the body of a woman in a suitcase found in Cangar, Mojokerto is Angeline Nathania, a student of the Faculty of Law in the 6th semester of the 2020 class.
"The Surabaya University confirmed that Angeline Nathania was a student of the Faculty of Law in the 6th semester of the 2020 class. The family also confirmed that the body was Angeline Nathania," said Yoan Nursari as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 8.
Yoan Nursari said, Angeline Nathania is an active student with a Cumulative Achievement Index (IPK) of 3.27. While on campus, Angeline is well known for her fellow college friends.
"During the study process at the Faculty of Law, there were never any obstacles in socializing with friends or lecturers on campus. We certainly deeply regret this incident. Hopefully the families left behind will be given fortitude and strength," he said.
The Ubaya Faculty of Law through the Legal Aid Bureau (LBH) is ready to accompany the families of the victims. Furthermore, the Ubaya Faculty of Law and the entire Ubaya family handed over the entire legal process to the Police.
Prayers and support for the family left behind continue to flow from fellow students, lecturers and alumni. Deep sadness over the departure of Angeline Nathania, which was felt by her friends, made them voluntarily raise condolences.
"Hopefully all families will be strengthened by the passing of Angeline Nathania," he said.

Angeline Nathania was declared missing on May 5, 2023. On May 7, 2023, her body was found in a suitcase in Cangar, Mojokerto. Angeline is suspected of being a victim of murder and her body was dumped in the Cangar area.
Meanwhile, Surabaya Police Chief Kombes Pasma Royce said his party was still matching the data on the corpse in the suitcase.
"We are still waiting for valid results from the expert team to match the existing data, so it can be concluded that it has something to do with this missing person," he said.
