There Is An Increase In Traffic Volume On The Jakarta And West Java Toll Road During The Long Holiday, Here Are The Details

Jasa Marga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division (JMT) noted that there was an increase in traffic volume (traffic) during the long holiday of Pancasila and Vesak 2023 at Ciawi Toll Gate (GT) Jagorawi Toll Road by 30.86 percent.

"There are 41,873 vehicles leaving Jakarta, an increase of 30.86 percent compared to the normal daily traffic volume of 31,998 vehicles," said Marketing and Communication Department Head of JMT Panji Satriya in a written statement, Saturday, June 3.

Then, vehicles leaving Jakarta via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road were recorded at 50,249 vehicles. This figure increased by 72.49 percent compared to normal daily traffic of 29,132 vehicles.

Panji said that the volume of transaction traffic at GT Pasteur Padaleunyi was recorded to be 7.67 percent higher than normal traffic. There are 38,016 vehicles recorded heading to Bandung, whereas usually only 35,308 vehicles pass.

Meanwhile, there were 29,737 vehicles leaving Bandung through GT Pasteur, an increase of 4.97 percent compared to normal traffic of 28,329 vehicles.

Then, Jasa Marga recorded 29,644 vehicles leaving for Rancaekek, Garut, Sumedang and its surroundings through GT Cileunyi. "The volume of transaction traffic at GT Cileunyi increased 12.20 percent compared to normal daily traffic of 26,421 vehicles," said Panji.

Meanwhile, the volume of transaction traffic from the opposite direction or heading towards Bandung/Jakarta through GT Cileunyi was recorded at 28,101 vehicles or an increase of 3.46 percent compared to normal traffic of 27,160 vehicles.

Jasa Marga appealed to the public to prepare themselves before traveling by ensuring that the physical and vehicle are in prime condition, paying attention to fuel adequacy and e-toll balances for travel convenience.

"We also appeal to road users to only use the same e-toll when tapping at incoming toll gates and tapping at exit toll gates on toll roads with closed transaction systems, such as the Cipularang and Padaleunyi toll roads and the JORR II Toll Road," added Panji.
