14 Kiosks In Pacitan Ludes Dilap Api, Total Loss Rp 400 Million
PACITAN - At least 14 kiosks and traders' stalls at Arjosari Market, Pacitan Regency, East Java were engulfed in flames during a fire incident that occurred on Sunday, May 28 evening
No casualties or injuries were reported in the fire incident, but the impact of the loss is estimated at hundreds of millions of Rupiah.
"We are still investigating the cause of the incident. We have brought a laboratory from the East Java Regional Police. This afternoon it may be finished," said AKBP Wildan Alberd, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 29.
Temporary information gathered by police investigators based on eyewitness testimony, the fire incident occurred on Sunday afternoon/catch at around 17.15 WIB.
The thick smoke followed by the flames was first seen from the food stall block in the back block.
The fire quickly broke out, causing some traders and local residents to start panicking and shaking.
Efforts to extinguish the manual will be carried out immediately, while the security team quickly reported the incident to the Arjosari Police as well as the Pacitan Regency Government Fire Unit.
Not long after, at around 18.00 WIB the fire engine belonging to the Pacitan Regency Government arrived at the fire site and made efforts to extinguish it.
It took less than an hour for the fire to be extinguished. The impact of the fire was controlled so that it did not spread further.
The TNI/Polri were seen actively assisting the fire fighting efforts by securing the location of the fire so that residents who started arriving to see the incident did not approach.

He said the amount of losses was calculated based on the value of the kiosk building that was burned along with various basic necessities belonging to traders that could not be saved.
