Meanwhile, incandescent lava avalanches from the crater peak occasionally occur towards Keting River, Batang River, Timbelang River, West Beha River about 1,000 meters, to East Beha and Bahembang River about 750 meters.

"The avalanche sounded weak to strong while the crater beam two was about 25 meters.

In that period, 38 earthquakes were recorded with an amplitude of between 1185 millimeters, a duration of between 40-189 seconds, one hybrid earthquake / multi-phase earthquake with an amplitude of 20 millimeters, S-P: 0 seconds with a duration of 15 seconds.

Two distant tectonic earthquakes were recorded with an amplitude of between 5-10 millimeters, the S-P between 8-15 seconds for 49 seconds.

"The avalanche earthquake is still quite high, while the level of activity is at level III alert," he said.

He hopes that the community and visitors / tourists do not approach, do not climb and do not move within the hazard forecast zone, namely a radius of 2.5 kilometers from the crater peak of two and the main crater and sectoral expansion area to the southwest, south, southeast as far as 3.5 kilometers.

Residents are expected to be aware of lava avalanches and hot clouds of avalanches that can occur at any time from the previous buildup of lava material because its condition is unstable and easily collapsed, especially to the south, southeast, west and southwest sectors.

Furthermore, people living around the banks of rivers that originate from the peak of Mount Karangetang to increase preparedness from the potential threat of rain lava and flash floods that can flow to the beach.
