JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Operational Area (Daop) 1 Jakarta informed that starting June 1, 2023, there will be four long-distance trains (KAJJ) that will stop at Jatinegara Station, East Jakarta, to serve passenger departures.
This follows the implementation of the 2023 Railway Travel Graph (Gapeka) starting June 1, 2023 to replace Gapeka 2021 which was previously used, including in the Daop 1 Jakarta area.
"When Gapeka is only implemented on June 1, there will be four KAJJ departing from Gambir Station which will also take passengers departing from Jatinegara Station. Previously, currently Jatinegara Station only serves KAJJ passengers," said Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa, Monday, May 22.
Meanwhile, said Eva, Gapeka is a guideline for regulating the implementation of train travel which is described in the form of lines showing stations, time, distance, speed, and position of train travel starting from departing, stopping, coming, intersecting, and leasing, which are graphically described for control of train travel.
"The implementation of the new Gapeka will provide a number of benefits for KA service users, one of which is operational arrangements for the dismissal of KAJJ in the Daop 1 area of Jakarta," he said.

"In detail, the efficiency of 880 minutes on the argo train, 585 minutes on the executive train, 648 on the mixed executive train, and 399 minutes on the economic train," said Eva.
One of the trains that experienced an acceleration of travel time was the Argo Lawu train, Gambir-Solobalapan connection, which had a shorter journey of 49 minutes, from 7 hours 44 minutes to 6 hours 55 minutes. Then the Fajar Utama Solo train, the Senen-Solobalapan Market connection, which traveled 50 minutes shorter, from the previous 8 hours 30 minutes to 7 hours 40 minutes.
