Send 20 Indonesian Preachers To The UAE, Ministry Of Religion Hopes To Exchange Tolerance Experiences
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) will send 20 preachers/dai to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Director General of Islamic Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religion Kamaruddin Amin said those sent would participate in dai training as part of strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
"This activity is very important considering that Indonesia and the UAE are both multi-cultural," he said in his statement, Monday, May 22, which was confiscated by Antara.
Kamaruddin said the shipment of 20 preachers was one of the results of a meeting between the Ministry of Religion and the Head of the UAE Awqaf in Abu Dhabi some time ago.
Kamaruddin hopes that the training will further increase the competence, cruising power, and experience of cross-cultural preachers, especially related to the development of Islamic wasathiyyatul which was both developed in both countries.
"The preachers can exchange experiences regarding coexistence, tolerance, and moderation development in the plural community," said Kamarudin.

Director of Islamic Information at the Ministry of Religion Ahmad Zayadi stated that he was ready to make this training a success. According to him, as many as 15 dai and 5 daiyah will participate in this inaugural program in July 2023 in Abu Dhabi.
"The General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Waqf or UAE Awqaf welcomes and is ready to make this long-initiated program a success," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the UAE Awqaf Moh Matar Alkaabi said that his party always supports efforts to develop Islamic da'wah.
The UAE also invited religious leaders from dozens of countries to carry out da'wah safaris at mosques in the UAE region during Ramadan 2023.
