SOLO - Surakarta City Police officers questioned three suspected perpetrators of the beating of a police officer in the Banyuanyar area, Banjasari District, Solo, Central Java.
Surakarta Police Chief Kombes Iwan Saktiadi said the three suspected perpetrators of the beating of police officers are currently being held at the Surakarta Maporesta to undergo legal proceedings.
The three perpetrators of the beatings each had the initials AF (33), residents of Gondangrejo, Karanganyar; WU (26), residents of Nusukan, Surakarta, and RR (33), residents of Jebres, Surakarta.
The police chief explained that the incident began when the victim left his house in Banyuanyar to pick up his wife at Surakarta City Racing Station on Saturday (6/5) at around 03.30 WIB.
When the victim arrived at Jalan Adi Soemarmo Banyuanyar, to the east, he passed a group of perpetrators riding motorbikes that filled the road and played with gas on his motorbike until the sound was noisy.
Feeling hindered and disturbed by the group of motorists, the victim asked them to step aside. In fact, the victim has also said that he is a member of the National Police and wants to pass first.
However, when the victim overtook the group of motorists, the perpetrators followed. After entering the alley in the Banyuanyar area, the perpetrators shouted at the victim as a thief and finally the victim stopped in front of his house and opened the car window and the victim was suddenly beaten by the perpetrators.
After responding to the screams of thieves from the perpetrators, local residents arrived, but residents recognized the victim so that the perpetrators were arrested by local residents.

The victim then contacted the call center of the Sparta Unit Samapta Polresta Surakarta and the police immediately went to the location to secure and take the perpetrators and motorbikes to the Surakarta Police Headquarters.
"Due to this incident, the victim suffered bruises on his face, a temple on the right side and a torn right finger and bruises," said the Police Chief.
According to information from local residents, there were four perpetrators, but three people were arrested. One other perpetrator fled on a motorbike.
