JEMBER - Anies Baswedan's presidential candidate visited the private house of the Regent of Jember Hendy Siswanto.

Anies and his entourage used a private plane to land at Jember's Notohadinegoro Airport and were greeted by the Regent of Jember, the Nasdem Party officials and volunteers who supported him as a presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election.

"Alhamdulillah, we are grateful to have arrived in Jember. Our arrival is here to attend Habib Sholeh Al-Hamid's haul in Tanggul," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 6.

According to him, his visit to a number of regions in Indonesia, including East Java, was part of his responsibility because he received a mandate from the Nasdem Party, the Prosperous Justice Party, and the Democratic Party to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

"We have come, heard, absorbed aspirations, and saw the latest developments in society to solve a number of problems such as justice, problems of inequality, poverty, and employment so that the community can do better," he said.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Jember, Hendy Siswanto, said that his reason for hosting Anies in a private home was because he had previously been familiar with the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"Bang Anies has a long history with us when I was domiciled in Jakarta and I am the General Chair of Pendapa Nusantara 45. We have quite close emotional ties like family," he said.

After enjoying a dinner at Hendy's private house, Anies shifted to the Radio office on Jalan Danau Toba, Tegalgede Village, District and continued hanging out at the Tipis Cafe-Tipis which was next to the private radio building to talk with the community, volunteer groups and sympathizers who supported him.

During a visit to Jember, Anies was accompanied by his success team, Chairman of the Media and Public Communication Division of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Nasdem Party Charles Meikyansah, Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council of the East Java National Democratic Party Sri Sajekti Sudjunadi and a number of high-ranking officials of the Jember Nasdem Party.
