COVID-19 Update As Of May 2: 892 New Cases, Accumulated 6,775,613
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 13,374 specimens were examined with the result that there were 892 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,775,613 people and active cases have increased by 37 to 13,880 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, May 2.
Today's recovered cases increased by 839 people, bringing the total to 6,597,965 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 16 cases and a total of 161,300 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 412 cases and a total of 1,558,257 cases. Followed by West Java with 297 new cases with a total of 1,244,815 cases. East Java 204 new cases and a total of 643,277 cases. Banten 106 new cases and a total of 369,932 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 271 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 185 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 184 recovered cases, and DKI Jakarta with an additional 148 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 116,425,893.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 603 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
