Palu Police Arrest 2 Perpetrators Of Theft, Involved In 11 Cases In The City
PALU - Palu City Police (Polresta), Central Sulawesi, arrested two perpetrators of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) suspected of being involved in 11 cases of theft in their jurisdiction.
"The two perpetrators with the initials E and A were arrested in two separate places along with a number of evidences of motorbikes of various brands," said Head of the Palu Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) AKP Ismail in Palu, Antara, Friday, October 17.
Ismail explained that the arrests were made after the Tadulako Satreskrim Team of the Palu Police received a report regarding the sale and purchase of motorbikes without official documents in the Petobo BTN area, South Palu District, on Thursday.
The officers then moved quickly to the location and arrested perpetrator E along with evidence. From the results of the examination, E admitted that he had committed theft in a number of locations with his colleague with the initials U, who is still on the wanted list (DPO).
After the development was carried out, the team again arrested perpetrator A on Jalan Sekunder, South Birobuli Village, South Palu District, at around 20.55 WITA, and secured a number of additional evidence.
"The results of the interim investigation show that the two perpetrators were involved in at least 11 police reports related to theft in the Palu Police jurisdiction," said Ismail.
The police confiscated evidence in the form of a black Honda Beat, a green Yamaha Mio M3, a red Suzuki Satria FU, a black Yamaha MX-King, a red Honda Scoopy, a black Yamaha Vixion, three helmets, and two L keys used in the theft.
The two perpetrators are now being held at the Palu Police Headquarters for further investigation, while one other perpetrator is still being chased.
"This success is proof of the seriousness of the police in reducing the number of street crimes, especially cases of motor vehicle theft," said Ismail.
He emphasized that the Palu Police would not provide space for criminals and would continue to develop investigations until the entire network of perpetrators was revealed.
